Phoenix Volunteers help sick kids cope with prolonged illness.
Volunteers help at fundraiser event benefiting kids diagnosed with chronic illnesses.
On Saturday, March 13th, Phoenix Volunteers put together a fundraiser dinner party benefiting children diagnosed with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.  Funds raised at the event assist an organization called Starlight Children’s Foundation, whose mission is to help sick children cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness.

Phoenix Volunteers thanks the volunteers whose efforts ensured that 100% of the events’ proceeds went to support Starlight Children’s Foundation and the lives of the children they serve.

Starlight Children’s Foundation understands what families go through when a child is sick, and how important it is to find relief from constant worry and isolation.  They provide entertainment, education and family activities that give families a chance to have fun together away from the hospital so they can relax, regroup and return home with a renewed sense of strength and hope.
Volunteers arrived several hours before the dinner event started to help with party set-up, eliminating the need for Starlight Children’s Foundation to hire a set up team. These helpers put up tables and chairs, helped arrange the silent auction booths, unloaded ice, drinks and glasses, as well as many other pre-party tasks.
